UNESCO Heritage Fontainhas Goa
Goa’s Latin Quarter. A UNESCO Heritage Site located in Panaji, the capital of Goa, Fontainhas showcases remnants of the Portuguese rule. Built in the 1800s, thie Fontainhas Quarters was a residential area for Portuguese administrative officers and rulers. A common visual reminder of Portuguese remnants here are the houses and cottages built in colonial architecture and painted in fluorescents and pastels.
